Victoria Coleman’s passion for viticulture and winemaking began when she and a friend enrolled in a winemaking class at Napa Valley College. They crushed a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon in a drum with their feet. The experience of hands-on winemaking fueled her desire to learn everything she could about it.
The Seattle native began working in the wine business as a production assistant to Michael Silacci, who oversaw viticulture and winemaking at Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. In 2005, she began making wine for Mario Bazán. She enrolled at UC Davis in Fall of 2006 with her first vintage, the 2005 Mario Bazán Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, under her belt.
Victoria began working with Jade Valley in January 2010. Under her leadership, the winemaking team has finalized blends for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 vintages. She strives to add complexity and enchanting tastes to Jade Valley wines by incorporating her world class experience.
